B&C Real Estate was founded in August 2019 with a strong vision to redefine the real estate landscape in Tasmania. The agency is led by John Soundy, who serves as our Director and CEO. John is one of Tasmania’s most experienced agents, known for his significant influence in the industry as a trainer, mentor, salesperson, and team leader. His wealth of experience has been pivotal in setting the agency on the path to success.

The company was founded by Chris Yan, an accomplished entrepreneur with a successful career across business, development, and hospitality sectors. Chris’s leadership and broad experience have been instrumental in shaping the company’s strategy of providing innovative and client-focused real estate services.

Just four months after its inception, B&C Real Estate secured its first property listing in Howrah. This marked a significant milestone for the company. In the following three months, we expanded our property portfolio with listings in key areas such as Sandy Bay, Rosny, and Brighton, further establishing our presence in the market. During this time, our team continued to grow as we strengthened our foundation.

In January 2020, Yang joined the team as CEO Assistant. Yang’s expertise and support were crucial in the operational and strategic development of the company, helping streamline processes and contribute to the agency’s continued growth.

In February 2020, Allen joined B&C Real Estate as Property Manager. With Allen’s strong background in property management, he played a key role in establishing our property management division, ensuring high-quality service for our clients and laying the groundwork for future success.

By the end of 2020, Brick & Castle Real Estate successfully achieved its goal of selling over 10 properties and managing more than 50 rental properties. This achievement marked the company’s first major milestones, demonstrating our ability to quickly establish ourselves as a trusted name in the Tasmanian real estate market.

In 2021, B&C Real Estate expanded its services to include the buying, selling, and management of commercial properties. 

In 2021, the company successfully completed numerous commercial property transactions, including farming properties, churches, abalone farms, and retail shops, with a total transaction value exceeding $10 million.

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company successfully handled over 100 business sales, covering a wide range of industries including supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, retail stores, and hotels. This growth in business sales has solidified our reputation as a leader in both residential and commercial real estate in Tasmania.

Up to 2025, brick and castle are managing over 200 rental properties a cross tasmania. Our reputation and passion fuels the growth.
